Director of Business Development
Location:Any GreenbergFarrow Office Location

Job Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility is to develop new business leads through discovery utilizing all available means to uncover prospect interests, need and critical success factors. Continue involvement throughout the balance of the sales process to maintain continuity of communication and relationship with the prospect. Research and report on industry and market trends to aid in the coordination and implementation of the Firm’s business development strategy in conjunction with the Managing Principals, Principals and Studio leaders. Facilitate the preparation of annual revenue forecasts as well as the of annual expense budget. Coordinate business development efforts by working with Principals to organize introductions/presentations. Prepare and present reports to Principals, Associate Principals and Studio leaders. Collaborate with technical staff on the assembly and coordination of proposals and presentations. Other related tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications:
  • Degree in Marketing, Sales, Public Relations or related field; strong preference for degree in Architecture.

  • 8+ years of diverse technical lead finding; demonstrated experience in with Architecture, Landscape Architecture or Engineering service disciplines strongly preferred.

  • Established industry relationships within the retail, restaurant and commercial sectors with the ability to drive new project opportunities nationally in support of the Firm’s growth strategy.

  • Experience collaborating on brand analysis and brand strategy while championing the brand externally in alignment with the brand ethos and objective.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills with the capacity to effectively convey the Firm’s unique value proposition to current and prospective clients.

  • Compelling presentation skills to ensure all information is delivered clearly and persuasively.

  • Knowledge of appropriate marketing and business development methods, processes, and tools.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively across all disciplines; strong relationship building skills.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills with an ability to think both strategically and tactically.

  • Some travel and evening events may be required.

  • Proactive team player with an upstanding professional demeanor and ability to lead and mentor staff.
