Civil Engineering CAD Manager
Location:Any GreenbergFarrow Office Location

Job Responsibilities:
Assist with redevelopment of CAD standards and procedures for the Civil Engineering discipline and the implementation of these standards across the Firm. Works in concert with the Architectural BIM/CAD manager on standards and the implementation of these standards across departments/offices. Create and maintain a Civil specific CAD standards manual and tools consistent with industry standards. Establish tools for CAD interdisciplinary and client specific integration. Update and maintain the electronic document library, to include, but not limited to CAD, and PDF/TIFF Prototypical Construction Drawings. Serves as a technical resource to staff for Civil specific CAD questions (e.g. Civil 3D) and related hardware issues, including troubleshooting individual or interdisciplinary CAD related problems. Create a single comprehensive electronic library of Civil Engineering CAD details and notes project folder. Establish and manage a quality control process to ensure departments are consistently adhering to the established standards and procedures. Provide ongoing training to current staff on CAD related items as needed. Perform research, analysis and testing compilation of data and other engineering tasks as necessary to support engineering activities. Assist with preparing AutoCAD Templates for repeat Clients. Report on activities as required. Other duties as assigned by the Engineering Supervisor.

Job Qualifications:
  • In-depth working knowledge of current Autodesk products. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3d required.

  • Demonstrated technical background with a broad base of experience. Preferably with a Civil Engineering background; degree in Civil Engineering or related field a plus.

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and superior organizational aptitude.

  • Ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines and to work in a highly collaborative, team environment.

  • Must be detail oriented and able to maintain technical accuracy in an environment when team members are required to multi-task efficiently.

  • Above average PC-based computing skills and experience (word processing, spreadsheet, database management etc).

  • Ability to be resourceful and apply critical thinking in an autonomous role, acting independently where appropriate.

  • Must be able to interact in a positive and meaningful way with all levels of staff in a highly visible appointment

  • Travel Required: 20%
