Construction Manager

Job Responsibilities:
GreenbergFarrow is looking for a Construction Manager to work out of our Southborough, MA or Somerset, NJ office. The Construction Manager requires strong leadership and communication skills. Has excellent technical knowledge within the construction field with a strong understanding of distributed generation as it relates to alternative energy facilities. Manages buy-out process in a cost-effective and timely manner. Review and oversees construction contracts and amendments, throughout the duration of the project. Communicates and coordinates project requirements with the internal project teams and sub-contractors. Works closely with Owner and/or client representatives to verify compliance with applicable design requirements and contract documents. Monitors and tracks the progress of multiple projects, aged accounts, invoices & budget, and is responsible for overall project performance and profitability. Possesses effective management skills and the ability to plan, direct and independently monitor all aspects of construction projects. Adheres to company policies and can articulate GreenbergFarrow’s mission statement to team members and clients. Reports to Senior Construction Manager, Engineering Department Manager and/or Principal.

Job Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Construction (minimum of 5 years as a Construction Manager)

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction related field, or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience

  • Good working knowledge of distributed generation, electric utility metering requirement and regional plumbing requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of State Board of State Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters, applicable building codes, zoning codes and approval process

  • Strong leadership skills – ability to manage and build teams based on matching their skill and experience levels, to ensure profitable performance consistent with company objectives and policies

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Highly organized, detail-driven and conscientious

  • Familiarity and Working knowledge of all related disciplines (e.g. structural, mechanical, electrical, and site requirements)

  • Proficient in MS Office and MS Project
