Site Planner
Location:Irvine, CA

Job Responsibilities:
The Site Planner is responsible for presentation drawings including rendered plans and elevations. The Site Planner conducts site planning for large commercial/retail sites including zoning research and compliance; preparation of base maps, site analysis and design, and investigation of alternative sites. The Site Planner is responsible for communicating with outside consultants including coordination of drawings and site information.

Qualified applicants would have a 4 year degree in Architecture, Landscapce Architecture, or Civil Engineering and at least 2 years of experience in a professional office setting. Successful candidate will have strong autocad, research, and communication skills with abilities in photoshop and other graphic programs. Familiarity with zoning codes and other planning documents is a plus. The work is fast paced and never boring. Typical project types include retail and restaurants serving a mix of national and regional clients.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Planning or other related degree

  • 3-5 years related experience

  • Should be on registration track

  • Strong and versatile building design skills

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Ability to make presentations

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel internal or external to the firm

  • Proven ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines and provide high quality service to clients

  • Strong sketching skills

  • Good understanding and knowledge of building codes and zoning regulations

  • Good understanding and knowledge of building systems and site requirements

  • Proficient in current version of AutoCAD, 3D Studio or Form-Z, Photoshop, PowerPoint, MS Word and MS Excel
