Job Responsibilities:
Manages the Site Development group consisting of Site Development Coordinators, Due Diligence Coordinators, and Administrative Assistants. Coordinates with the Site Planning Manager, Head of Production, and Civil Department Manager. Requires a high degree of technical experience including knowledge of site development, real estate, and public approval processes. Interacts with client's regional Director of Real Estate, Director of Construction, Real Estate Managers, Project Managers, and Store Planning department. Assesses workload and need for additional staff. Reviews all site development candidates including conducting interviews/hiring process. Resolves all departmental problems related to projects and/or personnel. Establishes standards, procedures, and training programs for the department. Supportive of management of the firm and the policies set forth by management. Responsible for managing projects within budget and/or contract terms. Always serving an internal and/or external client. Being accurate and timely is a must. Each transaction or task must be handled in a way that postively spreads our reputation. Keeping our word 100% of the time and working everyday to see that obligations are met which may frequently result in unscheduled working hours.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Planning or other related degree
10 years experience in commercial development
Licensure in respective discipline is preferred, but not required
Thorough understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations and approval process
Experienced managing multiple large projects
Strong leadership skills - ability to manage teams effectively
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Highly organized, detail-driven and conscientious
Is attuned to interdisciplinary issues
Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel
Proficiency in MS Project is preferred
